Invoicing & Quotes

Create branded invoices, recurring billing, and automated payment reminders.

Interbooks invoicing is designed to get you paid faster with less effort.

Creating an invoice

From Invoices → New invoice, fill in:

  1. Customer — pick from your contacts or create a new one inline.
  2. Issue date and due date — defaults to today and Net 30.
  3. Line items — description, quantity, unit price. GST is calculated automatically based on your registration status.
  4. Notes — payment instructions, terms, etc.

Recurring invoices

Set up monthly or weekly billing schedules under Invoices → Recurring. Interbooks generates and sends each invoice automatically on the schedule you define.

Quotes → invoices

Quotes follow the same flow as invoices. Once a quote is accepted, click Convert to invoice — no re-entry, no duplication.

Payment reminders

Under Settings → Reminders you can configure automatic emails to chase overdue invoices. Default schedule:

  • 3 days before due
  • On due date
  • 7 days overdue
  • 14 days overdue

GST handling

Interbooks calculates GST per line item based on your tax codes. The standard rate is 9% (as of January 2024). Your GST F5 return is auto-populated each quarter.
