Settings

Manage users, businesses, branding, and accountant access.

This section covers the global settings you'll touch occasionally — once at setup and then rarely.

Users and permissions

Under Settings → Users, invite team members by email. Each user gets a role:

  • Owner — full access, billing control
  • Admin — full access, no billing
  • Accountant — full access to ledger, reports, and journals
  • Bookkeeper — invoicing, expenses, bank rec — no settings or financials
  • Viewer — read-only

Multiple businesses

If your account has more than one business entity (group, holding company, accounting practice), switch between them from the top-left business switcher. Each business has its own ledger, users, and chart of accounts.

Accountant access

Under Settings → Accountant, generate an invite link for your bookkeeper or external accountant. They'll get their own login that surfaces only your business — no shared passwords.

If your accountant is also an Interbooks user with the Accountant portal (Business plan), they'll see your books in their own dashboard alongside their other clients.

Branding

Under Settings → Branding, upload your logo and choose a brand colour. These flow through to:

  • Invoice and quote PDFs
  • Customer payment portal
  • Email templates

Notifications

Configure email notifications under Settings → Notifications — invoice paid, invoice overdue, bank import complete, monthly report ready, etc.
